
Marcella Jane Wyatt Gillespie

Marcella Jane Wyatt Gillespie, 76, of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Hinkle Hospice House.
Marcella was born on April 26, 1949, in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late Homer Edgar Wyatt and Joyce Mae Myers Wyatt.
In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her son, Michael Taylor; and two brothers, Herman Wyatt and Gurney Wyatt.
Survivors include her son Jimmy Taylor (Tami); daughter, LeAnn Hunt (Tony); two sisters, Evelyn Waisner; Bonnie Eller; a sister in law, Wanda Wyatt; seven grandchildren, Matthew Taylor (Caryn Silva), Jacob Taylor, Emily Taylor, Brittany Tussey (Carlton), Whitney Ferguson (Chris), Lauren Olshinski (Sam), Kari Taylor; and nine great grandchildren, Gracie, Madison, Bailey, Ashlyn Tussey, Easton Parker, Mason Ferguson, Lydia and Henry Olshinski.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00pm, with Pastors Keith McGee and Doug McGee, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Mt Carmel Cemetery, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Greater Vision Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.
