Irvin "LaVon" Grubb

Irvin LaVon Grubb, 86, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at The Hinkle House.
LaVon was born on January 12, 1939, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Irvin and Perlene Hedrick Grubb.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Pearl Reavis Grubb.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Grubb (Bing), Tim Grubb (Angie); two grandchildren, Alex Grubb (Kaitlyn), Travis Grubb; one great-grandchild, Piper Grubb; four sister-in-laws, Louise Jones (William), Mary Reavis, Carol Reavis and Barbara Reavis and many loving nephews and nieces.
The family will have a visitation at First Lutheran Church in Lexington, North Carolina, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 to 12:00, with a memorial service to follow at the church at 12:00pm, with Pastor Matt Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.

After moving back to NC in the 6th grade, a good part of my childhood was spent hanging out with Tim and Rick. Lavon and Pearl were so good to me, always making me feel welcomed. They will be dearly missed and I appreciate all of the good times and the impact they had on my life.
