Mary Louise Watkins Leonard

Mary Louise Watkins Leonard, 77, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County.

Mary was born on June 1, 1948, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Hanzy Pink Watkins and Geneva Canady Watkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Watkins.

She was a former member of Grace Journey of Lexington, North Carolina, and an active member of Life Impact Church of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Stanley Leonard; a son, Jeffrey Leonard (Amy); a daughter, Niki Leonard; a sister, Rebecca Langley; five grandchildren, Morgan Adams (Shelby), Madison Farabee, Peyton Blevins, Isaac Leonard, Jacob Leonard; and six great-grandchildren, Starlah Adams, Rylan Adams, Brentley Leonard, Layla Leonard, Mileah Leonard, and Clayton Black.

The family will have memorial service on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 4:00pm at Life Impact Church of Winston-Salem, located at, 5090 S. Main St, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, with the Pastor Titus Anderson, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

    Louise was a wonderful cousin, amazing wife, amazing mother, and she loved all her grandkids and great grandkids. And a sister. She is going to be forever missed.
    Me and her had some good times throughout the years
    I love her so very much. And my heart is broken for the family, but just know God is with you. And i’m here for you guys.If you need anything, I love each.And every one of you. I pray God brings you strength comfort and and peace during this difficult time and in the days ahead.
