Alyce Jeane Pridgen

Alyce Jeane “Granny” Pridgen 82 of Lexington went to her heavenly home on January 2, 2026.
She was born April 5, 1943 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Fred and Mabel Woosley.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Pridgen, a son Marvin (Marty) Morrison, a sister Jeannetti (Barry) Chappell, and a brother Terry Woolsey.
Granny will be remembered as a woman of faith, deep love, and simple joys. To her grandchildren, She was the creator of magical gardens a place, where candy or coins were carefully planted, and by the next day something wonderful had grown.
Those small miracles were done with patience, imagination and they became
lifelong memories, rooted in love.
A devoted cat lady, Granny opened her heart and home to stray cats.
Offering them love and food.
Granny found peace in reading her Bible sitting on the porch in prayer, and reflecting on God‘s goodness.
She also enjoyed long walks on the beach while watching the waves roll in.
Granny was an active member of Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle, where she was faithful and loved to listen to her preacher man preach the Bible.
Left to cherish Granny‘s memories is her daughter Regina Vestal, a daughter-in-law Roxanne Morrison and a brother Joey (Amanda) Woosley. Six grandkids Jonathan, Christopher, Heather, Donald (Emily), Josh (Allison), Jennifer Lanning (Chris). And eight great grandchildren Lexi, Parker, Enoch, Hazel,Axle, Clark, Serenity and Heath. A nephew, Tyler Woosley, and wife Alexis. Larry Morrison, who was like a son to Granny, whom she prayed for daily.
