Andrew José Hege, 36, of Myrtle Beach, SC, transitioned from this life to his next journey on February 14, 2026.
Andrew was the eldest son of Angela “Angie” O. Hege and was born July 13, 1989, in Lexington, NC. Andrew graduated Lexington Senior High School in 2007 and attended Coastal Carolina University. Andrew worked many years at Benjamin’s Bakery in Surfside Beach, SC which he enjoyed immensely. Andrew also became a certified addiction counselor and assisted many in their walk towards sobriety. He was so very proud of this accomplishment.
Andrew liked motorcycles, cars, gardening and cooking. From a young age, Andrew was known to be very loving, considerate and caring. He was definitely a people person. Andrew loved his family enormously and was also loved deeply by friends and family. His children were his heart.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Angie (Rogelio), sons Laidyen Stone and Mordecaii Staggert, brother Christian,life partner Mariah Stevens and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Era Belle Zavala and great grandparents, Thomas and Mary Hege.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1:30pm till 3:00pm at Affordable Funerals and Cremations Chapel. A Celebration of his life will be held at 3:00pm, immediately following the visitation.

I had not seen Andrew in a very long time, but I always knew that he was super intelligent. Always figured he would go to school to be a doctor and he would’ve been a good one. I’m sure he would’ve graduated at top of his class. See you in Heaven Andrew Love Aunt Becky.
Andrew you were an amazing person. Thank you for always being a big brother and best friend to my kids. You set a great example for them growing up. Thank you for sharing your family with my kids. You are loved and missed very much.
