Douglas Michael Norman, 75, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Douglas was born on May 22, 1950, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late E D Norman and Arena Marie Smith Norman.
He was affiliated with Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church where he took great pride in mowing and taking care of the church property. The family would like to say a special thank you to Kimberly, Reeds Fire Department, all of the Emergency Workers and all of the staff at Rowan Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Michael Norman Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Toni Tysinger Norman; two sons, Michael Norman (Michelle), Leonard Felker (Tracey); daughter, Angela Childs (Jeff); brother, Ken Norman (Deborah); sister, Judy Norman Younts; four grandchildren, Amber Wahl (Mike), Holly Leonard (Jordan), Tabitha Swing (Buddy), Bradley Felker (Victoria); and nine great grandchildren, Bethany and Ashlyn Felker, Paisleigh, Oaklee, and Alana Swing, Sydney and Riley Wahl, Nora Pane, and Ella Leonard.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 3:00pm at Heaven’s Gate Full Gospel Church, with Pastor Ken Norman, officiating. He will be interred in the church cemetery.

My prayers get out to Toni and all of Doug’s family. Doug was like a brother to me. We met 46 years ago and he became one of my best friends. I will miss our weekly phone calls, where we discussed everything from gardening to how much he appreciated Toni and all that she did for him. I know that you’re flying with the angels Doug! You will be missed!!!

Doug was definitely one of a kind. He’ll be missed by so many. He loved all his grand baby’s so much. He’ll never be forgotten. We all love you so much pawpaw Doug. Rest easy up there and don’t worry about Papa Toni. We will make sure she is taken care of down here. Until we meet again. LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️
