Michael Glenn Joyner

12/30/1952 - 2/13/2026

Michael “Mike” Glenn Joyner, 73 passed peacefully on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at Hospice of Davidson County.

Mike was born December 30th, 1952 in Lexington to the late Clyde and Candis Joyner.

He loved going fishing, rather it was here on High Rock Lake or spending many vacations at Morehead City with his parents. He always looked forward to going to the coast fishing with the guys as well. He was a huge Carolina Tarheel fan. You could always find him eating at Smokey Joe’s BBQ and he found his passion in going to the auctions, spending time with his friends there, and helping with the toy drive at Christmas for kids in our community.

Survivors include a sister, Vicki Rummage (Todd); nieces, Christy Bruff (Josh), and Jennifer Jacobs. 3 great-nieces, Jayde Bruff (Jordan), Gracie Blackmon (Hunter & children Beckett and Blakely), and Dakota Jacobs. 3 great-nephews, Taryn Bruff (Brenna), Dewey Jacobs, and Jaxten Henke. Aunt, Evelyn Joyner; uncles, Kaney Joyner and Elmer Joyner (Rebecca); many cousins, neighbors, and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Affordable Funerals and Cremations Chapel.

The family would like to thank his friends at the Davidson Auction House of Reeds, especially Ryan and Tracy James and the staff at Hospice of Davidson County for all that they do.
