Betty Carol Wood Myers, 93, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Betty was born on May 20, 1932, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late Raymond Albert Wood and Bessie Bell Tickle Wood.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jackie Myers; second husband, Stephen Mize; two sons, Bobby Myers, Mark Myers; a daughter, Jacqueline Prince; a grandson, Teddy Black; a brother, James Wood; and a sister, Shirley Miller.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Myers (Lisa); daughter, Carol Black (Danny); brother, Don Wood; sister, Margy Anderson; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

The family will have a graveside service on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00pm at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
