Obituary For Carolyn Key Leake Hill

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Carolyn Hill of Lexington passed away on September 25th, 2025, at the Hospice House of Davidson County. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior. Her journey on this earth was filled with love, purpose, and unwavering faith.

Carolyn was born on November 24th, 1950, in Greensboro to the late Harold and Shirley Leake.

She married the love of her life, Greg Hill, on January 1st, 1988.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Greg; son, James; daughter-in-law, Shanty; daughter, Mary Belle; bonus daughter, Jessica; brother, Rodney; grandchildren Timothy & Grayson, and many other loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Carolyn had a life marked by love, dedication, and her Christian faith. She found joy in simple pleasures like online shopping and cherishing time spent with those she loved most. Though we grieve, she is no longer with us on this earth. We rejoice in knowing she is pain-free, at the feet of Jesus, and reunited with those who have gone before her.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony Victor Hill and Mike “Mickey” Key; her mother and father, Harold and Shirley; and her best friend, Margaret Ann.

Carolyn will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for her family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.

Carolyn never liked being the center of attention, and per her wishes, there will be no services.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Davidson County for their dedicated and loving care.
