Carolyn Sue Hardin England, of Davidson County, NC, passed away peacefully at the Hinkle Hospice House on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1951, in Williamson, West Virginia, to Homer and Ruby Blair Hardin. The eldest of three siblings and a proud coal miner’s daughter, Carolyn was always lovingly known as the family matriarch and found joy in all things related to church, family, music, laughter, flowers, and Elvis. Though she spent many years working as a secretary, her most cherished roles were those of wife and mother. Carolyn had a heart of gold and lived a life marked by kindness and joy.

While her loved ones deeply mourn the loss of a beloved mother, sister, and aunt, they take comfort in knowing that she placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and is now reunited in Heaven with her husband and her parents who went before her.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jonathan David England; daughter, Ashley England Clasen and son-in-law, Joe Clasen; brother, Homer Carl Hardin Jr; sister, Charlotte Hardin Rierson and husband John Wyatt; brother-in-law, Tommy England; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Rick England; as well as several nieces and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 6:00 pm in the Angell Room at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC.
