Obituary For Dennis Ray Pritchett

Dennis Ray Pritchett, age 59, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away suddenly at his home on July 30, 2026.

Dennis was born on April 14, 1967, in High Point, North Carolina to Annie Ruth McGee and the late Thomas Collins Pritchett.

He dedicated 41 years of service as an employee and supervisor of Southern Film Extruders, where he built a long and dedicated career.

Dennis loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Jax. Whether he was working on projects in his garage, enjoying the quiet satisfaction of a job well done, or relaxing by the beach, he found joy in the simple things in life.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first love, Juanita (Maw) Pritchett and one sister, Tammy Hazzard.

He was survived by:

Sherry Pritchett, his last love and wife;

One daughter, Heather Lynn Small of Thomasville, North Carolina;

One son of the home, Dakota Joyce;

Five step-children: Cody Allen Sisk, and wife Keisha, of Raven, Virginia; Wanda Hunt, of Trinity, North Carolina; Danny Small, of Thomasville, North Carolina; Donna Small, of Thomasville, North Carolina; and Don Small, of Thomasville, North Carolina;

Two granddaughters, Callie Small and Addy Sisk;

Two grandsons, Connor Evans and Ricky Sisk;

One sister, Rebecca Irby, and husband David, of Denton, North Carolina;

One brother, Marty Pritchett, of Lexington, North Carolina;

Brother-in-law, Michael Hazzard;

Special and longtime friend, Chris Martin; and

Numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Affordable Funerals and Cremations in Lexington, North Carolina, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Jordan Griffith, David Irby and Dustin Rosenbaum officiating.
