Obituary For Diantha “Kay” Parker Bissette

Diantha “Kay” Parker Bissette, 82, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the KB Reynolds Hospice Home.

Kay was born on December 16, 1943, in Wilson County, North Carolina, to the late Maudis Bissette and Mary Lou Allen Bissette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Parker.

Kay dedicated over 35 years of service to Summit Cable, where she built lasting relationships and a strong work legacy before retiring.

She had a special place in her heart for her friends, whom she loved like family, especially those from Judy’s Too and the VFW Post 1143.

She is now at peace, resting in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who went before her.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie Brinkley (Renon); brother, James A. Bailey (Margaret); five grandchildren, Candice Waddell (Boyd), Kayla Clodfelter (Kyle), Brandon Parker, Haley Lynch (Tulley), and Colton Lynch (Linda); and twelve great-grandchildren, Tolsen, Leland, and Isabella Lynch; Daylen, Adalyn, and Dawson Hill; Karsen, Kali, Kallan, and Karoline Clodfelter; Nolan and Navy Parker.

There will be no services scheduled at her request.

In memory of Kay, memorial donations may be made to the Davidson County Rescue Squad.

We at Affordable Funerals and Cremations of Davidson County are honored to be serving the Bissette family.

TINA CRAVER This woman holds a special place in the hearts of all the people that worked with her at Summit/Time Warner/Spectrum Cable. She was always worried about the phones being answered, wasn't a day that went by that she wasn't saying "the phones are backed up" I need you on the phones". It became her legacy, not one of us will ever forget! She was always welcoming us to her home, it just won't be the same riding by her house now. "Kayla Mayla" you will be missed terribly. Love you my friend, rest in peace, we got the phones.
