Obituary For Douglas Lynn Cope Sr.

Douglas Lynn Cope Sr. 71, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

Douglas was born on February 18, 1954, in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late Malcom James Cope and Nellie Link.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Cope.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cope; three sons, Douglas Lynn Cope Jr, Steven Travis Cope, Randy Dale Furr Jr.; two daughters, Crysta Lynn Davison, Mary Jane Furr; seven grandchildren, Torie Williamson, Lexi Curry, Skyla Curry, Nikki Chau, Warren Walker, Montana Heitman, Russell Brady; numerous great grandchildren; and his very special friends, Michael Brown and Shane Simerson.

The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 3:00pm, at Faith Baptist Tabernacle, 352 Tater Bug Drive, Linwood, NC 27299.

    Chris McMahan A real friend, I've not got to see in year's. He was a outstanding worker for many years for McMahan Landscape Company.
