Obituary For Garland "Blake" Hinson

Garland "Blake" Hinson, 35, of Lexington, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Garland was born on July 18, 1991, in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earnest and Janice Garrison and Philip Ellenburg; and his biological father, William Garland Hinson.

Survivors include his parents, Nancy and Brian Ellenburg; two daughters, Autumn and Lilly Hinson; brother, Travis Hinson; sister, Nicole Lanning (Justin); grandmother, Susie Ellenburg; two nephews, Levi Hinson and Benson Lanning; two nieces, Bayden Lanning and Lexi Everhart; and several half siblings. He loved hanging out with his special friends, Mike Gibbs, Daniel Love, Bradley Hollifield, and Ty Drainer.

Blake was an organ donor, who was able to give nine other individuals life, to carry on his legacy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I sure hate to hear the news of such an amazing young man departing at such a young age. I remember when he was just a teenager at my Uncle Larry's house bc him and my cousin Josh were such good friends growing up. Blake was always so funny and would have everyone laughing with his jokester personality. Many prayers for his family🙏
