Obituary For Hattie Hege Cummings

Hattie Hege Cummings, 86, of Linwood, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her home.

Hattie was born on August 17, 1939, in Alamance County, North Carolina, to the late Ervin Everette Hege and Catherine Irene Wiles Hege.

She attended Higher Ground Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David O. Cummings; two brothers, Earl Hege, Everette Hege, and two sisters, Nellie Forest and Lillie Wilson.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Marion (Angela), Michael Marion, Tony Marion; one daughter, Carolyn Shaw (Bobby); three brothers, Henry Hege (Sharon), Raymond Hege (Edith), Cecil Hege (Sharon); one sister, Doris Wilson; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

The family will have a graveside service on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00am at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Rev. Tim Sink, officiating.
