What a wonderful friend and neighbor Mr Owens was to me. He would come out and talk to me and other neighbors when he felt up to coming out and was my security when I had to come in late at night. I will always hold on to the sweet memories. Rest in peace our loving Navy Veteran

Oh to see what this man has seen in his life....and his experiences. I remember Levern from Southern Lunch, where he was consistently visiting back in the kitchen to 'keep the boys straight'... He was a dapper dresser and always had a kind word. I have missed him as time passed and his activity slowed. Remember the birthday parties at Southern Lunch, and it was only a year or so ago, Levern was Grand Marshal for the Veteran's day parade, riding in Herb's Convertible. God welcomes Levern to his heavenly kitchen, and rightly so. May God's grace shield this family and extended family at their time of grief and make their memories rich of their time with Levern. God speed and rest in peace.

My Dearest Uncle Vern, I will miss seeing your eyes light up every time we were together. Thank you for the kindness you showed me so freely. I will carry the memory of that wonderful summer I spent with you for the rest of my life. May you rest in the Creator's eternal peace. To Toria, Thomas, and April, may your father's legacy live on through each of you, and may his memory always be a blessing.
