Obituary For Peggy Jewell Rickard Parker

Peggy Jewell Rickard Parker, 89, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Peggy was born on July 30, 1935, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to the late Elgie Lawrence and Inez Beulah Rickard.

She was a long time member of Churchland Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Macy Parker; and two sons, Donald Ray Shaw Jr and Franklin Neal Shaw.

Survivors include two sons, Elgie Keith Shaw (Lynn), Brian Jewell Shaw (Suzanne); daughter, Sherry Dianne Spears; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Shaw; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
