Rickey Dean Miller, 64, of Linwood, passed away at the Hinkle Hospice House on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was born in Columbus County on October 24, 1960, to the late Royce Paul Miller and Veda Mearl Cartrette Owens. Rickey was an electrician that was retired from Shaw and had previously worked for Lexington Furniture for twenty-one years. He loved to tinker with Mustangs and spoil his great-grandchildren. Rickey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Rickey is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Paul Miller. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Miller; two step-daughters, Marchia Haven (Jerry) and Jennifer Hailey; five grandchildren: Courtney Sanderson (Chris), Johnathan Odom (Peyton), Christian Haven, Brianna Hailey, and Makayla Hailey; and two great-grandchildren, Kira and Bailey Hailey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
