Sandra Maire Lafferty (Hancock), born on September 29, 1961, in Danbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was 64 years old.

Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Barbara and Donald Hancock. She grew up in Danbury, Connecticut alongside her siblings Donna Gavagan, Thomas Hancock, Linda Mello, and Patty Piskura.

Sandra’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother to her three children: Jessica Lafferty-Bozek, Kristin Belous (and her husband Brian Belous), and Kevin Lafferty II. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren: Madelyn Lafferty-Bozek, Skylar Bozek, Matthew Belous, and Sammy Belous. Sandra also held close to her heart the memory of her granddaughter Lauryn Lafferty-Bozek, who predeceased her.

Throughout her life, Sandra touched the lives of many with her warmth, laughter and dedication to those she loved. Her legacy lives on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
