Susan Hardwick Martin Murdoch, 86, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026. Born May 11,1940, Susan lived a full life, leaving behind family and friends who will long remember her presence and the role she played in their lives.

Susan is preceded in death by her youngest daughter Susie, brother Roland, second husband Richard, and stepdaughter Indra. She is survived by her brother, half-brother, three children, their spouses and three grandchildren.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff at Brookstone Retirement Home in Lexington for the kind and loving care they took of her in her last months, and to Alderwood of Davidson County for attentive hospice care in her final days.

Internment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Roanoke, Virginia. Internment services will be private.

The family thanks all those who have offered their support and condolences during this time.
