Obituary For Tommie Lee King Jr

Tommie Lee King Jr, 56, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on July 28, 2025.

Tommie was born in Davidson County, North Carolina, on October 16, 1968, to the late Tommy Lee King and Mary Willie Esther McCaskill King.

Throughout his lifetime Tommie was the tokened comedian, finding a bright spot in every situation, and a guaranteed laugh to ease any burdens or sorrow. He enjoyed break dancing, earning him the nickname King Tut.

He was employed by West Rock for over fifteen years. Tommie was renamed โ€œTommy Gunsโ€ for his hard work and dedication to his job.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and anyone who had the pleasure knowing him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna King.

Survivors include his brother, Roy Lee King; two sisters, Dianna King, Irish King; four nieces, Thaisha King (Dequan Southern), Kesia Kellam, Kelia Draissi, Nyjada James; two nephews, Linton Hudley Jr, Quinten King; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Affordable Funerals and Cremations of Davidson County Chapel.
