He was one of the very few kids that didn’t bully me throughout my middle school and high school career who talked to me like I was somebody indefinitely didn’t take away a smile it’s crazy to think that you’re gone and we might not have kept up with each other over the years and I wish I could’ve told you while you were still alive but thank you for treating me like I was somebody instead of a nobody

It’s been a few days and I still can’t form the right words or even think correctly. I keep typing then, deleting.. then typing again. I’m trusting in the lord to guide me and my family. To allow me the proper words. Austin had the sweetest soul.. he was so funny, caring, thoughtful. He drove all the way to Ohio, just to meet my daughter who loved “Ork”. Him and his booty shorts because he loved to make people laugh and smile, riding on an air mattress in the pool, letting me paint his whole foot with finger nail polish (not just the toe nails). When he came to Ohio a few months ago my daughter asked him to swim with her (she’s 5 and it was a pretty shallow above ground pool). I know in his head that was the last thing he wanted to do in that moment, but he got up. Put on some shorts and went out with her, just to make her happy. They had a blast.. I love you, Orkie. Thank you for being an awesome cousin and such an amazing soul! 💕

I wanted to share this poem as a tribute.

    The White Chariot

During your journey on your final flight home.
White wings will carry you and you will be flown.
To the pearly gates of Heaven, where they will usher you in.
To the feet of your Lord, your Saviour, and your friend.
He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing.
As another one of His children is delivered by white wings.
